A Very Fine Pair of George III Silver Wine Coasters Sheffield 1818 by John and Thomas Settle Museum Quality SilverAn exceptionally good pair of Georgian silver wine coasters of flared form with cast flowerhead and scrolling foliate rims supported by embossed leaves. Turned fruitwood bases with the central silver button engraved with the crest of a dragon wielding a sword emerging from a tower. Baize covered bases. Both marked to the lower rim for Sheffield 1818 by John and Thomas Settle. Both coasters are in first class condition with no damage and no repair. The

These coasters are of a good size and thick gauge

A very rare example of a teapot which was only fashionable for a short period of time and thus very scarce

A very good quality silver tea caddy or tea box of oval form

and are engraved to one side with Queen Anne's Royal coat of arms and to the other the crest of John Smith

This is a beautifully decorated and impressive piece of early Georgian silver in very good condition
